Exclusive: DROID 2.1 running on the G1

Our good friend Drizzy has been hard at work converting the DROID Android 2.1 ROM over to the HTC Dream / T-Mobile G1 and his dedication has paid off. The DROID ROM is fully functional on his G1 and below is the first screen shot shown to the public.  Drizzy is still working to fix a few minor problems and tweak a few mores things, but as soon as he has a stable release you'll see it here on AndroidSPIN. Finally an official confirmation from the Unofficial T-Mobile blog, there will be a launch of a Google phone on January 5th at 9am (question is, is that PST ?)
