The Nexus One may be one of the hottest new gadgets, but that hasn’t stopped the fine folks over at ifixit from breaking theres open and snooping around inside. Among the goodies found inside was the wifi chip that the Nexus is packing, Broadcom’s BCM4329. According to the spec sheet, along with the B/G/N wifi that we have been told about, this chip also carries an FM receiver and transmitter. With luck, it won’t be long before a member of the talented Android development community enables those features and turns the Nexus into a portable FM radio as well as enables audio output over FM.

FM Receiver and Transmitter – looks like Google whitespace wi-fi to me!
@VittyO you might be on to something there !!!
VittyO… I thought the white space tech was only related to analog TV signals… Do u know if it can be included in FM bands or access thru it… Or was it just a joke ???
If the Nexus One is capable of white space tech… Then I wouldn’t mind paying full price now… But if not… Motorola might release the first android white space phone since they have made one of the test units last year…
