I woke up this morning, turned on my Nexus One, went to the browser and got directed to a page that said I need a webconnect plan from T-Mobile to access the internet. So I checked, absolutely no data connection whatsoever. I called T-Mobile who proceeded to apologize for “any inconvenience I was having” and reset my network connection. No dice. They said it’s not us then, call HTC because we are not allowed to troubleshoot the Nexus One.

According to Absolutely Android, HTC started receiving phone calls around 6:30am and they are looking into the issue. They hope to have it resolved as soon as they can figure out what is causing it.
This appears to be a nationwide outage (I have yet to confirm anything globally) and I am going to agree with T-Mobile and say for once it doesn’t have to do with their network. I have switched my SIM to my G1 and my data connection is perfect.
I’ll update you when I find out more. If anyone has any further information regarding this issue, please e-mail me carahulett@androidspin.com or leave a comment.
**Update: One of our writers spoke with T-Mobile who said they received an internal e-mail from Google saying the outage should be fixed within a couple hours. Still no word on the cause…
***I forgot, here is the number for HTC tech support T-Mobile gave me, in case you feel the need for some verbal fisticuffs

Same here! I atcully think it is Tmobile because I didnt get any upadte for my N1 and sudeenly it stops working? It likely has to do with T-mobile identifying the handset as a Nexus One. I never told them I had one, but suddenly today they knew I did!

Yup. Confirmed its out in Chicago.
Let’s see who get’s the blame.
I read on TMONEWS that HTC said that T-Mobile are working on a problem on the servers and it may be a couple of hours.
I’ll double check and post more if I find more.

I’m having problems accessing the internet from Atlanta, GA as well. I’m using the Nexus One while being signed up through Tmobile USA. At 11:18 AM currently, still experiencing issues.

Gulf coast, TX. Problem exists here, too. Pretty safe to say it’s nationwide.

I’m in downtown Chicago right now, and have no problem using my Nexus One 3G connection on T-mobile. IS there a specific factor we could be missing?

If it is really a problem with the phone, how was it able to download and display the T-Mobile error page ?
Lol, that’s what I asked T-Mobile when they said it wasn’t them…I think I scared the girl because I told her I was sure she’d be hearing from me again. She said that T-Mobile will not do anything to troubleshoot the Nexus One because if they did, they would be liable for any future issues. What a mess, Google, HTC and TMO really should have put more thought into this…
I can get to http://www.Tmobile.com and my tmobile account apps still work.

Down in Atlanta. Just out of curiosity, did anyone have an existing contract with TMobile before buying a Nexus One? They made me pay $279 for the phone instead of the $179 as advertised and I can’t figure out why… my fault I guess.

I’m in Houston and have NO problem. Had some trouble yesterday afternoon with Weather Bug not being able to update but by evening time it was fine. Actually my web speed seems a little faster. Maybe T-Mobile is upgrading something. Oh well good luck to everyone.

Just got a message from a friend in Wisconsin…His Nexus is working fine but his brother’s MyTouch 3g LE Fender is not connecting. He called T-Mobile and they have a recording saying that all Android devices in his area are experiencing issues…WTH?
Anyone else in Wisconsin (or anywhere else)experiencing issues with other Android devices besides the Nexus One?

I’m in El Paso Texas and I’m having no trouble with my data connection. Though I did just root my N1 yesterday and for some odd reason I have an “H” where 3G used to be? I’m still getting 3G speeds just a different icon. Maybe tmo is upgrading their network?

Seattle…Down! I have three others that have confirmed the same thing. I was the last to find out that after they texted me to check their connections. It’s the phone, not the network. IRQ conflict…
Getting reports all over of it being restored…look here and comment
