Official WordPress for Android App finally released

All bloggers rejoice, WordPress has officially announced that the WordPress app has been released via the Android Market. If you are reading this on your Android device (please do, we finally fixed the mobile code), start downloading it here.

From WordPress themselves:

WordPress for Android is an Open Source app the empowers you to write new posts, edit content, and manage comments with built-in notifications. Download it now and get blogging in no time.

We’re pleased to announce that WordPress for Android is now available in the Android Market. The initial release has focused on giving you the ability to manage your blog while on the go.

Features include the ability to:

  • Configure and manage multiple blogs
  • Comment moderation including the ability to reply to comments
  • Create and Edit Posts including categories, tags and photos
  • Create and Edit Pages
  • Get notified of new comments in the Android notification bar

Go get it…. I am installing it on my G1 now.
