C0z over at Tmonews has posted a story about T-Mobile doing a software trial for the G1. No, not eclair but just a software update. C0z has stated that the update will include such things as Google Voice integrated in the dialer, setting numbers to be ignored, integration of visual voicemail, and other goodies. T-Mobile is actually looking for people to test this new software on their phones (seems to be only eligible for people with non-rooted G1′s). We will keep you guys updated on when your chance to apply for testing arrives.

let’s just hope they include UMA support.
i have truphone in my g-1 and it works great except no in call bluetooth on it.
but, i would kill for a UMA/google voice tie up, even if i had to pay for the minuutes.
if they don’t i’ll be getting a blackberry9700 when my line matures in june.
seems that i can sync my contacts on gmail with it right now.
