“Google asked us to build the Nexus One, we refused” said SE CEO

That’s really interesting or maybe Sony Ericsson is just showing off. During a interview, Sony Ericsson CEO Bert Nordberg said that Sony Ericsson was originally offered the chance to build the Nexus One for Google, but we refused.

When asked, “Why refused?” He said that “Sony Ericsson is committed to building only its own-branded hardware and will not be a subcontractor to anyone”.

I’m not sure what he is up to, but he really missed a big chance.  The Google Nexus One is known as the #1 Android Smartphone out there. Thanks to HTC and Google, They really made a monster of a phone.

What do you guys think. Was this a good decision by Sony Ericsson or not?

Thank the good Lord himself that SE weren’t the makers of the Nexus One. What a pile of plop that would have been then! IF, and it is a big IF, SE really did refuse to make the Nexus One then they did Google a MASSIVE favour!

Even spouting such rubbish is a huge #fail for SE. They really should leave well enough alone and get on with producing their next crappy handset that I won’t buy simply because they made it. Which is sufficiently good enough reason.

SE lost the plot completely after the T610, the best handset they ever made. All before and after has been junk.

I have to agree, if SE had built the N1, it would have been a turkey. They don’t have the culture to support Android’s open and tinkering nature, either. But I doubt the very provenance of that statement. Whether it’s true or not, why even say it?

  15. I would suggest you research what software your going to use then come back and post your requirements again before buying hosting. cPanel is extremely easy to use and most web hosts use it as standard, we weary of any host offering ‘Unlimited Disk Space’ and always read Terms and Conditions before signing up. Again HostGator is widely regarded as being the best for Support, Ease of Use and Uptime. – I don’t work for HostGator just in case your wondering!
