An article over at the Montreal Gazette gives us some insight into a problem Android users in Canada face. No paid apps in the market. Although this is not a for sure deal, we’re hearing that we will know soon when to get excited.
On the topic of the Android Market in Canada, Google Canada spokesperson Wendy Rozeluk says,
“There are many factors that come into play to make sure the selling and purchasing processes run smoothly. It takes time to bring support to more countries, which is something we are working hard to do”.
The Montreal Gazette further states that Google is “working on the problem and hopes to make an announcement next week.”
Do you think this will change the amount of Android phones sold in Canada? What are your thoughts on paid apps? Tell us in the comments

I wonder why no paid apps in Canada? New Zealand got access to paid apps on October 15th, 2009. The best versions of many apps are the paid versions….as you might expect.
At least with Android there is noting stopping you from buying from alternate markets like SlideMe, or direct from the developer.
In my country I cant access to paid apps in market and I hate it!. All demo/lite version
