HTC Desire to support DivX

According to MobileTechWorld, who talked to HTC, the Android HTC Desire will be getting a software package that will enable DivX playback. Although not written in technical specifications, Desire will play and record video in DivX HD 720P. These two features are not available immediately, however. After the release, scheduled for April, an update that will incorporate the DivX codec and the ability to shoot video at a resolution of 720p.
