Nexus One AT&T 3G

Tired of Apple’s tight reign on your iPhone? Want the true feeling of open source?

AT&T users rejoice! Today, Google releases the sale of the Nexus One compatible with 3G UMTS bands (850/1900/2100 MHz) and four GSM radio frequencies (850/900/1800/1900 MHz). This means full 3G for AT&T customers.

This also means that our friends to the north, Rogers Canada, will get the same love from Google since Rogers uses the same 3G bands as AT&T. This news, combined with the recent news of paid apps in the Market, makes for a very special day Canada.  It’s about time, eh?

No word so far of any type of subsidy being offered by AT&T or Rogers. The only available option is the full $529 unlocked price.

Still, it’s good to see Google spreading the love…
