Oh Canada!

by Michael Banks on 16th Mar 2010 -

Word on the street this morning is that paid apps are now available to some Canadian Android users. According to Boy Genius Report, both Rogers and Fido customers have confirmed purchases. Unfortunately, BGR goes on to report, the majority of Bell and TELUS customers do not seem to have been equally blessed. It is interesting to note the careful wording which speaks of a majority of customers, rather than all customers. This suggests that Bell and TELUS may also be rolling out paid apps, alas at a slower pace.

Admit it, Canadians, this is so much better than that Hockey Medal last month! Updates from the northerly neighbors are appreciated.

Well, speaking as a Telus customer who already got screwed over with a brand-new Motorola Milestone that is bootloader locked behind RSA encryption, this delay in rolling out access to paid apps is just one more straw on the back of an increasingly overstressed camel.

This is true, i found out late last night when i stumbled upon them for the first time. With that said nothing beats our victory against the crappy US team.
