I´ve had better luck with these than the OpenEclair builds. This one is working well on my G1. A JIT-enabled libdvm.so definitely speeds it up a bit (I’m using my own; just put something like the lines below into {android_root}/vendor/{aosp or whatever}/products/{aosp or whatever}_core.mk to build one).
