Sirius Satellite radio has announced that it will add a new application to its portfolio that will allow it’s premium subscribers to listen to all it’s content directly from their Android device.
Sirius already has an application for the Apple iPhone/iPod and it works really well. I’ve personally used it on my iPod Touch. The application will allow to stream over 120 channels of entertainment.
Howard Stern on your Android, What next?
If you want to get notified when the application is released, head over to the Sirius Satellite Radio Android Application page and fill you info.
Do you have Sirius Satellite Radio? Will you be using the application when it available?

Great another app, but there is still a lot missing here. How can they exclude the Howard Stern, Sports, etc… channels? Why not provide all media content? Another epic failure from Sirius. Who’s running the show there? Clowns?

The sports broadcast stations aren’t included because of licensing from the sports leagues. It’s the same reason the AM/FM stations that broadcast games locally can’t stream it using their online stream.
The Howard Stern thing mystifies me, though. Unless he’s got licensing stuff wrapped up too, so only he can use the broadcasts.
