I have had a chance to use and abuse this new ROM and I have to tell you guys, It’s quick and stable as promised.
Here’s the low down. First boot, as always expected, takes a few minutes. Nothing extremely long though. The boot animation is the original Android 1.6 splash screen (haven’t seen that for a while) once up, it cruises. It comes with the ADW settings (almostNexus) where you can turn various things on or off such as the status bar, animated drawer ect. In those settings you also have the choice of number of screen 2-7 as well as which one to use as your home screen. You also get to select how many rows are displayed in your app drawer, from 1 to 6. This is starting to become more common in ROM’s lately.
It sports the apps floating into the screen when you open the drawer, nexus style. The galaxy style slide to view apps instead of the vertical scrolling method. Both of which you can toggle to your preferences in the ADW settings. As you will see from the screens below, this is the first ROM i have ever seen that gives you the choice for the standard power control or a vertical one. Just a nice little tweak that makes it stand out in my mind more. I am personally a fan of the newer abilities to change screens, while on any home screen press the home key again and it gives you all your screens on one to just tap instead of scrolling through all 7 or what ever you have set up.
I had no issues signing in or getting anything from the market. My WIFI connected easily. E-Mail is functioning well. As for bluetooth, I paired it with my Mytouch just fine. I do not have a headset to confirm it works. I have run the gauntlet launching and switching apps doing everything in my power to see some noticeable lag or a FC and have yet to see any. Even coming out of the browser directly to the phone was smooth. I know some ROM’s have issues with responsiveness on the number pad to place a phone call. I have had to slow down a few times on other ROM’s but this one typed the numbers as fast as I could dial.
Its preloaded with all the usuals as well as: Estrongs file manager, Titanium backup, Taskiller, SetCPU and Tweetcaster.
My only scare was when I launched the browser. Your Google home page will load in another language! Fear not, there is a link on the page to view in English. All other sites came through fine in English for me before and after I selected that link. Also once set to English it will always load that way until you reboot your phone where you just need to take a second to tap it on first load.
All in all an excellent release by the DEV. If someone is looking for speed, stability and a change of pace this ROM definitely delivers and is worth your time to flash this amazing rom. Good job zachattack052

Hey i love this new rom – my new daily rom. But one problem. It didn’t happen at first, but now it is. Whenever I longpress an icon on my homescreen. I get an acore force kill.. any idea or fix? (I tried rebooting – no dice)
hmmm, good question.. Have you run the fix_permisissions? It’s here: http://androidforums.com/support/13657-fix_permissions.html I have found that just typing fix_permissions instead of sh /sdcard/fix_permissions.sh works. Doesn’t always get rid of all FC but can sometimes solve a few. let me know.

I had the same problem PHAZZ. The only thing that fixed it was to reflash. I found that the problem began once i started the taskiller widget…

Guys I believe if you run Death/Danger SPL and have an EXT it will work just fine. I HAVE NOT had any issues

is everyone remembering to wipe data and davlik and ext?? just a theroy.. I always wipe all 3 because i know left overs from another rom can cause the same type of issues.

Same issues here. I think it’s the task killer app. TaskPanel always worked better for me. I get a FC in acore as well. I have tried the 2.1 Hero rom as well and had FC’s and Market crashes as well. Just thought I’d report that here because of all the activity, but I’ll report on that ROM’s page as well.

So I did a little testing with the help of my friend KIYO, it might be narrowed down. I got to the fc issue as well as a super heated battery. The benchmark on the setCPU with scalling on demand, was running on mine at over 3500 ms.. lower is faster.. battery temp climbed on his phone and then locked up and fc acore. went in and changed the setCPU to 528 max and 245 min and benchmark is at 700ms. battery temp at 68 degrees F. Might be the issue. Give it a shot. Be sure to kill all tasks first. select system info and tap short benchmark to see.

Having a problem with this rom not sure if anyone else is having the same. When the phone is NOT connected to the power cord it reboots like every 5-10 minutes. Im sorry if this issue has already been brought up and addressed but im new to the Rom Flash world and im still learning how to do this. Maybe i flashed wrong from my previous rom. This is what i did is this correct?
1 Data Wipe
2 Dalvik Wipe
3 SD: Ext Wipe
4 Partition
5 128, 640, Fat 32 remainder
6 Flash
7 reboot
I havent flashed too many roms so any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys
