ChiefzReloaded has been working hard on his Froyo ROM for the T-Mobile MT3G / T-Mobile G1 and now has the radio working and data connectivity. He’s been making phone calls and surfing the web.
What’s working so far:
- Radio
- Gapps
- Widgets (That the SDK came with)
- Updated Kernel

Thats the problem I have with 2.x roms because they dont match the speed of the donut roms.

But thats the beauty of 2.x roms as well, if they can get it with all the JIT package running it should boost performance 2-5x. If anything we will probably have to wait about a good month or two before something stable and good use for day to day can be released.

If Google claims Froyo runs faster it should be more stable on a slower phone like the G1 right? Def want to see some solid video testing

MTSlide & Froyo
Even though Froyo is simply a sdk im sure we can get it up and running as much as possible till the source is released and a better dump. MTSlide should be on V.8 by Saturday Night EST and Froyo isn’t ready to be released as a stable or even a beta yet so ill keep you all updated and I will be making a XDA and Androidspin thread on CR_Got Froyo!
