Adobe seems to be keeping up with Google on this one. First they release Adobe flash player for Android. Now they release Adobe PDF viewer for Android. A nice PDF viewer has long been over due and Adobe has hit the sweet spot with this one.
Some of the features for the app are:
- Open PDF files as email attachments and on the web
- Interact with PDF files using advanced multi-touch gestures like pinch zoom, double tap zoom, flick scrolling & panning
- Reflow view fits the page contents to the screen for easy viewing
So what are you waiting for? Go to the market and give it a try. Let us know what you think.

Probably should mention it’s for 2.1+ only.

Ohgami. Thanks for mentioning that. I will change the article to mention that.

How do you open opens on it on the HTC Desire? There’s no load option – it just sits there doing nothing – and so is entirely useless. Uninstall.
Adobe, eh? Still – at least it doesn’t crash.

Just like their desktop version – really rubbish and slow

After a few more minutes usage:
it’s much slower than HTC’s version. There’s no `go to page` so when you want to go to page 340 of 500 you’re just sitting there wearing away your screen as you flick up 200 times. Clearly none of the programmers who worked on this ever use it to read PDF files (just like the Windows Mobile version where there’s no way of exiting full-screen mode so you have to kill it with a task manager).
(ps this site isn’t perfect either – if you get the `enter the text below` wrong and try again it says ‘slow down – you are posting comments too quickly’ but I’m not posting them at all if I got the text wrong, am i!)

Also doesn’t work on the HTC Hero with Android 2.1 firmware update. Does nothing at all; a dud.

I wa just trying to use it on a g2 phone. I then realized I had to go to page 85 in a book and I stopped using it. I went back to pdf docs2go since it has a goto page. Mind numbing that such an essential feature was missing.
no goto page? Completely useless (htc Android 2.0)
