Rumor: HTC Scorpion hitting Verizon?

6

Anyone remember the HTC Scorpion? We heard about this device 3 months ago, it was rumored that the device will come with a powerful 1.5 GHz processor and Android 2.2. We haven’t heard much of this device until today. Now MobileCrunch is saying that their well-informed source, Conflipper, a very popular ROM hacker, is saying that the device will feature Android 2.2 and a 1.5 GHz Snapdragon processor. It’s also rumored that this phone is WiMax compatible, and it will hit Verizon.

Well, it’s just a rumor. I hope it will turn into a true story. It seems true to me, because both things that are rumored to be in the handset are now out. Like the dual-core Snapdragon processor and Android 2.2. We just saw Qualcomm revealing the new dual-core processors yesterday, and they are also making a 1.5 GHz too, and we all know that Android 2.2 is now out. I don’t know if it’s coming to Verizon or not, but I  believe that this device is coming, may be soon.

Keep in mind that Verizon is betting on LTE for their 4G, and Sprint is the only carrier going to WiMax

Gotta love rumors, lets just hope the new qualcomm chip is a better architecture then that over rated snapdragon and not just an overclocked dual core deal, I gotta find some specs…..
