Thanks to a devoted tipster, the guys over at Gizmodo have uncovered some information regarding the successor of Verizon’s most popular device. Obviously, we can tell the Droid gets a physical upgrade, as well as an internal with its 1GHz processor and 8GB Internal storage. Current Droid users who love their device too much might want to consider an upgrade to the Droid 2.
We are unsure of the launch date from Verizon but as this device makes its way around, I expect we should count on sooner rather than later.

How many of you are set to pickup Verizon’s next Droid series device, whether it be the Droid 2 or the Droid X? Leave your comments below.

As long as it stays as true to the Droids style and form as possible, then it will be riding in my pocket when it’s available. Which one I’ll buy depends on how they feel in my hands and how well they perform side by side. The only thing that I really don’t care for is the addition of blur. If that rumor is true. Then I will give it a shot, but if it’s as bad as prior versions it will be disabled, and as soon as it’s rooted it will be replaced. ;b For you ROOT HATERS. Rooting is not bad as long as you school yourself on how to revert back to stock no-root if something was to break. My 1st Droid was purchased November 6, 2009 and stuck at the boot screen on June 3rd 2010. (This happens to none rooted Droids also) I flashed the stock recovery and rom then returned it for a replacement unit which is now rooted on Froyo 2.2.
