There is a rumor going around, from a reputable source, about what’s going to happen on Verizon’s Sunday meeting. As some of us already know, Verizon is to be closing it’s stores early on Sunday to hold a meeting and some promotional changes are going to be made. What this source is saying , is that Verizon will in fact be making promotional changes as they get ready for the launch of their next super phone the Motorola Droid X. Also, it is rumored that “Big Red” will be dropping the “wireless” altogether and officially changing their name to “Verizon” instead of the “Verizon Wireless” name.

We also learned from this source, that Verizon will be informing their employees of their interest not to pursue the Apple iPhone 4 that was rumored to be coming to Verizon and that they will focus whole heartedly on Android. At these same meetings, it is speculated that they might inform them of an August release of the Motorola Droid 2.

  4. Yeah, Apple are not making any friends at the moment.
With all the issues surrounding the iPhone 4 and the attacks against anyone who says or does anything related to the iPhone it’s no wonder people are deserting them.

I must say I have never been a big fan of Verizon but this makes them a bit more respectful in my eyes. Sorry apple looks like your worthless iphone will have to stay on at&t’s worthless network.

My gut feel is that Sprint will get the IPhone. They have a great network, They have 4G, And they share VZ network to boot! It makes perfect sence for Apple to go there!

Worthless iPhone? I think I would love to be apple. Almost 2 mil iPhones in just 3 days. That’s 1 phone. Android doesn’t even have that many phones with all thier models.

I would bet it’s apple who is giving v cold shoulder. After all vz laughed at the original iPhone said no one wanted a full touch screen phone. That and since vz is still using CDMA it makes no sense for apple to step back in technology.
I would bet when they have thier lte network there will be an iPhone.
Sprint could be next. Tmobiles network is to small they would need to expand thier 3g network first.

Android is ok but my issue is how long will google stay intrested with something it’s not making any money from?
Just can’t see it for to long.
I think you must be jealus the way the first 2 posters talk. They secretly love the sleek iPhone and it’s beauty.

Problems should be fixed today with software update. Should we be honest here and talk about the issues surrounding many android phones?
