
This is getting more and more frustrating to those who have ordered the HTC Droid Incredible. Verizon keeps pushing back the shipping date for the Incredible, which is now July 27th. Verizon has said not to give up on the Droid Incredible, but to me everyone still waiting for the D inc. should give up on that device and get the newer Droid X, which is set to launch July 15th.

sticking with the Incredible. it is sleeker, i.e., not as bulky and weighs more than an ounce less than X. i can live with a smaller screen and no hdmi.

ordered the incredible on the 8th of June. just called customer service (3:50pm PST) and according to her “just received a current update” she stated that it should ship today, 29th, which is the day that i saw on the website when i placed the order. her words could be a total farce. i’ll believe it when i see a tracking number emailed to me.

Ordered mine on June 8th, CS just told me it would ship by the 29th, so I said then I should have a traciking # by now and her response was by the 29th meant on or before so we shall see…still no traking # if not here tomorrow I am gonna cancel and wait for the X

MissIncredible, the push back of 5 days i can confirm of. i was informed yesterday with a lengthy but very nice call from a representative that there could possibly be a delay from the original ship date. she informed me she will send me out a courtesy text when it does ship (even though my phone will receive an email anyways). i wouldn’t be surprised if the June 8th orders did get pushed back till July 7th as stated from Scott’s post from above ^^^
i wonder if we’ll receive the Sony TFT LCD screens on our phones and also the rumored 2.2 update?! If i get froyo on my phone when i receive it i will hysterically happy!

I ordered my Incredible on June 8th. I called today and was told that a 7-10 delay is very likely. I was told to try calling back in a week. I was given an extra 150 minutes for 2 months but I won’t ever use that. I want one of these emails and a 25$ gift card. WTF. I did not get any email notifying me of delays, I had to call and complain. That does not look good for Verizon.

Yesterday, I simply called to inquire upon canceling my order in exchange for the Motorola Droid X. We had a lengthly but helpful and kind conversation. I was pretty torn of what to do but In short answer she said yes and that my “new every two” will still apply but I decided to just wait it out for the Incredible since it was “supposedly” going to ship out within the next couple of days.
After I received that email from Verizon today I called back to ask if the 7 day delay will apply to me or if it will be longer since the email states that it will effect customers who received a shipping date by the 28th or prior; mine (like yours) was the 29th. The representative stated I fall into the 7 to 10 business day push back. He was pretty nice and informative and even said If I want the Droid X I have to wait for the Incredible and bring it into any Verizon store and do an exchange on spot which sounds good because I wouldn’t have to ship the thing back and pay a restocking fee. *This exchange has been confirmed and has been floating around reputable technology blogs the last couple of days*
This has been a long, arduous wait and I can’t wait for this to end, be it the Droid Incredible or the Droid X!

I got the text today saying that I would get the $25 gift card. I did not have to call in or do anything extra to get it. Best of luck to everyone.
They should send you not $25, but the ammount you would get penalized if you would cancel your service.

I ordered my incredible on 6/11 and was told it would not get it by 7/12. I also bought my phone through a private sale with about only a handful of other phones also on sale. What I don’t understand is if this phone has been in back order for a while why include it in a private sale and increase demand…?

Went to Verizon store on Fathers’ Day (June 20) to get the new Incredible, oblivious to the delays pending. Instead of coming home with my Droid, the wife and son got new phones (Samsung Reality). So much for a happy Father’s Day, oh well, July 15th they told me. Now it looks like another week or so. No Droid X for me, too big & bulky. I’m just hoping to get the Droid Incredible for my birthday (7/30). I’m anxious to get it, but it’s certainly not arduous, as some have said. Patience my friends, it will be worth the wait.

Hey Verizon if you keep pushing phones dates back, you will be pushed back because customers will go to another phone carrier who is responsible. It’s funny how you keep pushing back these days and you dont’ get penalized. I bet if i cancel my contract you would charge me up my ass….I think you should be charged too!! My original order was processed on June 16, 2010 and the ETA on the web-page was ship by 07/18. I wrote the Verizon CS via email query to get an update and this is their reply:

I live in the Washington Metropolitan Area and the ETA remains consistent with their original indication. And I am not switching to the Droid X even if I could. I selected the Incredible because of the speed and HTC Sense features. I could have waited on the Droid X given its release is fairly close to hwen the Incredible “should” ship but I ordered what I wanted and if it takes a bit longer to receive, so be it.

The release date has not changed for those who ordered it, The later you order the later you get it, but if you were told an earlier release and that you would get it you still will. I confirmed this with Verizon, and plus the incredible is a way cooler phone, and will work much better.

i ordered my phone on June 12 in a private sale, so I got the lil bastard for only $100, and to tell you the truth, I would have paid 3x that much to have the phone already. Ive tried emailing VZW and calling CS to try and confirm that the original shipping date I was given (7/17) was still accurate. I swear every time I see a FedEx truck within 10 miles of my house, I freak out. I know everything about this phone there is to know, and I have not actually used the thing for even a minute. I am totally obsessed, and it is wearing on my GF’s nerves. My question is if the phone that is shipped to me will already have the update (2.2) and the free 2GB memory card. I know this is VERY doubtful, but still…everyone who orders it today will get the free memory included, and the update is a rumor that is building up quite a bit of steam online…either way, I just wish the phone would get into my hands because the accessories I bought for it (case & screen protectors) are starting to gather dust and are looking quite sad.
