According the Oxford-Zeiss Content & Research Guide, a 2GHz monster is being brewed up by HTC called the “HTC Sabor” and will be headed to Sprint at the end of 2010/early 2011. Yes, I said 2GHz and Sprint. What is to be their competitor to the rumored 2GHz device Motorola is said to deliver by the end of the year. We learned yesterday, in some rumors going around about Android’s Gingerbread, that the Froyo successor will only be going to devices with 1GHz processors and must have a display of 3.5″ and above. What makes the HTC Sabor even more interesting is that it is said to be rocking a display manufactured by HTC, yes I said HTC, to compete with the AMOLED and LCD displays. This will alleviate shortages, as well.
This new display is said to carry resolutions of over 1000 pixels and will meet the requirements of Gingerbread’s 1280×720 screen resolution. Also, the HTC Sabor is rumored to have a 10MP camera, 1080p video recording, and a kickstand.

I dare say, I think I just had a heart attack and then pissed myself.
Haha, I had the exact same response.

So much for the duo-core 800mhz Tmo-HTC Vision originally rumored to debut gingerbread. I gotta wonder, somewhere along the line did T-Mobile do something to piss off google or HTC?

Hate to burst the collective bubble but won’t this just be a HTC Tablet with a 2GHz Atom processer and not a phone. If it was a phone the battery life wouldn’t last even 12 hours with a screen that size and that powerful a CPU.

Soo…..where does T-Mobile fit into this? OH! They don’t! Again… =/
T-Mobile gave Android it’s big chance – can we get some high tech cutting devices in return? Maybe? No?

@Matt, what are you talking about? The Nexus One is still high end (I LOVE MINE). Give Google some time, they seem to show T-Mo the most luv, G1 Dev version & Nexus (com’n the only TRUE Google phones, that GOOGLE themselves put time into – true Google Experience) I’m sure we will get something new soon.
The handset makers are the ones fucking Google, Google needs to keep its online phone store and keep coming out with their completely own phones (like Nexus and G1 Dev Phone) with HTC exclusively and for T-mo or any compatible STANDARD GSM carrier — LTE soon.
The N1 is the only android device thats worth a darn that works on t-mobiles gsm without having to get devices unlocked. dual core android phone for tmo?? Unless the battery pack is huge i don’t see battery life being over 6 hours at best.

This is tragic: Another monster Android device going to Sprint.
but happy for HTC and Google/Android!
I’m just a TMO hater

I’m so glad I switched from Verizon to T-Mobile for Android. That was a smart move. Maybe I’ll get the next next version of the Slide. That’ll compete with this and all the other phones out there that Tmo doesn’t have

@snowboarder8156…On the Android Central podcast last week they said that they personally talked to HTC and T-Mobile rep’s and both said they were working on a exclusive device for T-Mobile codenamed ” HTC Vision”. They said the phone will be the first phone to ship with Gingerbread, the first to have a duel core processor and the first to have a HD 720 display. They also said it will sport a 4.3in. display. If you don’t believe me, go listen to Android Central podcast #18.
