Good news Australia! Vodafone Hutchison Australia has exclusively launched the Google Nexus One. The Nexus One goes on sale for free on a 24-month contract at $79. VHA has also restructured their data plans giving customers more data than before. Android 2.2 is currently shipping on the Nexus One’s shipping from KT in Korea and although we currently do not have any information regarding what version of Android that has been shipping on this Vodafone device, we do know that if it is Android 2.1, it won’t be for long.

At last it landed here in Ozz. Rooting it with latest Froyo, rather than stock Eclair provided with Vodafone release – should not be a problem. I gave Vodafone a call few hrs ago – seems to be they are out of phones now, looks like people buying it like mad. They advised me trying contacting them again in a week or so, they’ll might be having it in stock again by then.
