Usually, when the subject of Photoshop mistakes comes up, it’s in regards to ads where models have a little bit more or less than what should normally exist. Electronic ads get the same digital treatment, so it’s no surprise to see a whoops happen from time to time. That doesn’t make it any less humorous though.
In this case, we have the Best Buy Mobile Phone Buyer’s Guide. Best Buy is toting the LG Ally, HTC Aria, and HTC Evo as the best smartphones in the world. For their carriers, that might be the case; but world-wide? That’s debatable. People interested in the Aria are going to be in for a disappointment when they find out it’s not as big as the Evo.
Now take a closer look at the Aria. Notice anything unusual? Either AT&T has been sitting on a secret, or someone got a little overzealous with copy/paste. Tucked in between the bluetooth and signal bars icon is a 4G icon. Here is a different view with shows both the 4G and 3G icons.
Remember folks, truth in advertising is only bad if it works against the item you’re trying to sell.

I got the shaft too… I bought the EVO to get the biggest screen… Not I find out I could have gotten the Aria, still had 4G, and been on AT&T! Who wouldn’t want that?
