Qualcomm Shows Augmented Reality Demo And Announces Developer Challenge


With the recent announcement of Qualcomm releasing their Augmented Reality SDK, it is clear Qualcomm is in it, to win it. In their latest press release, Qualcomm shows off their Augmented Reality technology by turning an a sheet of paper into a battle arena. Qualcomm’s plans to make these games cross-platform capable explaining that making some of their games financially viable if the game could be played accross platforms. Check out the video below.

Also, in the press release, Qualcomm announced their developer challenge with a grand prize of $200,000. The are to release their SDK on the start day of the challenge, as well as, announcing a free software development kit, which will be open beta this fall.
