We recently heard about the Sony Xperia X10 receiving an update and although it is not the Eclair update everyone was hoping for, it’s still an update. Our tipster tells us that the the whole device has experienced an extreme speed boost throughout his device and that the update did not erase any of his data. The device is said to have a more responsive touchscreen.
You all can get your device up-to-date before the Netherlands vs. Spain World Cup Final.
Thanks for the heads up Patrick!

Hi again,
I forgot to tell you that the camera app has some bug fixes. Switching between photo and video is quicker. Previewing the pics seems faster. Photoroll icon. Auto focus should’ve been faster. I’vend tried yet. Switching or turning the phone from portrait to landscape is still ‘slow’. But who nows what SE has more up their sleaves. Like one finger zoom and pane feature should arrive soon with an update. And ofcourse Android 2.1 yummie yummie

I hadn’t began up roadmaps, while had used them a day or two previous to however the telephone had been rebooted given that then. Checking for the about purpose showed that roadmaps had been the trigger of 70% with the total battery drain. Naturally I killed it, however it keeps restarting. Now I don’t need to uninstall Yahoo and google maps due to the fact it’s a really helpful purpose and have applied it successfully as saatnav on many occasions and discovered it being additional uptodate and accurate than my dedicated satnav. But is there a setting somewhere that I could tweak to stop it from starting up up except when I commence it myself? Running a task killer with a scheduled basis and obtaining it kill maps just isn’t a fix for me, as what happens when I want to use it and find it getting killed frequently.
