Two weeks ago, the Samsung Galaxy S hit 100k units sold in Korea and just days after that, the device reached 200k devices sold. There is no slowing this device down as they have now hit 300k units sold. The Samsung Galaxy S is being sold exclusively with SK Telecom in South Korea and obviously has been a hit. 300,000 units in 19 days? Let’s just hope they don’t get their figures wrong, right Sprint?

I would be in line for one of these, but the moment i realized it had no flash for the camera I pulled the trigger and got a Nexus one.

*I was one of the hold outs for a physical keyboard.Perhaps the “pro” version of this phone will be the one for me.

So incorrect and imprecise… 300k units would hit 600k hands wouldn’t they?

    • Alex Smith

LOL, I did not realize the device was so big that you needed two hands to hold it. Thanks for the comment!

That could possibly be the most illogical decision I’ve ever heard. The Galaxy can run circles around the N1, not to mention it will be available with the other 3 major carriers (all that have better networks than T-mobile). Have fun with T-mobile’s crappy service.

Well, just a note: I have T-Mobile and I consider them to have the best customer service and don’t see anything crappy, none the least!

Anyway, I will answer the question; Yes, I’m buying one! Hence, Vibrant!

  11. Just acquired a Mythic for myself and will probably be having one particular for my wife quickly! It has just the proper mix of capabilities. just short of a complete smartphone. I’m keeping an eye about the Captivate for a prospective future cellphone…price ranges are way too substantial when released. I’ve been in high tech for 20+ years and generally hack anything I own to produce it superior laptops, GPS, automobile navigation techniques, etc. and yes cell phones too. In the few days I’ve owned the cellphone I’ve already set up Opera Mini, Bolt 2.1, freecaddie, Google Maps w/GPS functionality, deleted all locked unproductive apps immediately after backing them up and completely modified the menu technique to my exact requirements with no all ineffective apps.

  15. The steering wheel fits snugly into your hands as you quickly find your ideal driving position. Paddle shifters are at your finger tips for rapid-fire gear changes. The sports seats hug you in anticipation of the drive ahead. Turn the key and the engine bursts into life and settles down to a quiet idle. Slot the DSG box into gear and as you pull off, the twin exhausts leave a burble in your wake. The ride is what you’d expect from a GTI, firm, but not jarring and comfortable on all but the bumpiest roads. Initially it feels as if the suspension might be too compliant but this theory is quickly dismissed as you up the pace through the turns.

  16. I am annoyed that they removed the front camera and that there is no flash….

  17. Samsung, with their Galaxy S smartphone have managed to sell 100,000 units during the first six days of availability in Korea, a very promising number considering the supremacy of the iPhone in the Korean smartphone market. .thanks for shared this with us.

the wave is a great phone but i think samsung has a huge problem for the apps certification and the devs are getting frustrated. also the policy tonot alow voip is ridiculous i mean the wave ia supporssed to be an smart phone people is demanding skype all over the net and samsung remains silent ive heard people people is actually selling their wave just because there is no voip support im thinking on doing the same 3 of my friends (and my wife) already did

  19. Great stuff as usual…Well The Galaxy can run circles around the N1, not to mention it will be available with the other 3 major carriers (all that have better networks than T-mobile). Thanks, great share.

  21. The numbers have been dominated by the US, which accelerated its early sales rate to reach its second million in a month.”

  22. Great post well I would be in line for one of these, but the moment i realized it had no flash for the camera I pulled the trigger and got a Nexus one. Thanks for posting this. i really had good time reading this.

.Samsung Wave will sell this good. It’s not an affordable phone and since it’s the first Bada-powered device, my prognosis was not as nearly optimistic.
