Porting Android to the HTC HD2 has been a very tedious task. Members over at XDA-Developers have been working non-stop trying to bring us a perfected Android port. There are two almost complete builds in the works, one being Android 2.2 aka “Froyo” and the other HTC’s 2.1 Sense UI. Below are videos of each build running on the HTC HD2, enjoy.

Anyone else looking up an HTC HD2 on craigslist right now?

Although the HD2 was made bearable by custom roms, I was anxiously waiting for android to be ported. Now this phone will get the respect it deserves. No more dead-end OS. Hopefully we’ll have the choice of WP7 as well.

Looks pretty good so far! Don’t know that I’d buy the phone for more than 200 if I had porting in mind tho… just in fear of head aches later on down the line…

I’m thinking about getting one because the Nexus price is never going to drop.
