Haven’t received the OTA update yet? According to a BGR source, the update has been halted because HTC is adding Android 2.2. Many of you will wait for that, right? It’s rumored that you won’t have to wait much longer as the OTA update is said to be rolling out at the end of July or early August.
Here are the rumored upgrades:
We are targeting the end of the month/first part of August. As a reminder, below are the highlights:

- 3G Mobile Hot Spot
- HTC Widget: Email
- HTC Widget: News
- EAS Updates
- 720p Video Recording
- Amazon MP3
- Skype
- My Verizon
That’s great news considering the time frame rumored before was “before the end of 2010.” Hopefully, Sprint can get their update out just as soon.

I really hope this comes to fruition. I got my DI back in June and was disappointed with the battery life and the prospect of waiting till December to get Froyo. This would kick ass. But I’m always a bit skeptical on the “rumors”, of which there seems to be aplenty.
