Following in the wake of the Motorola Droid X, rumors are spreading like fire about the Motorola Droid 2. Engadget is reporting that from their source, the Droid 2 will see a soft launch on August 12th and the marketing for the device will start full force on August 23rd. While a lot of you dropped your original Droid for the highly anticipated Droid X, there is still a lot of you that just could not let go of the hardware keyboard that will be available on the Motorola Droid 2. To make their rumor more interesting is that in honor of the Droid name, their will be devices available with R2-D2 on the back and if you do not know who R2-D2 is then ask your parents.
