The Motorola Droid X has undoubtedly been hot device and we do not want to see this device off to a bad start. Earlier today we learned of a serious defect in the display and that some of you have been able to get a replacement. With this August 3rd shipping date, it might hinder the possibilities of exchanging your Droid X for another one. We can only hope that Motorola is doing the best they can to meet the consumer demand.

I have a defective Droid X. The screen started scrolling and now it’s in hyper scroll. Nothing I do will fix the problem including removing the battery. I ordered the phone on July 15, received it July 16 and called with the problem on July 17. The person I spoke to assured me that a new phone would be mailed out yesteday, July 19th express mail. I hadn’t received it by 4:30pm, so called them and now they tell me it won’t be shipped to me until July 27th. Should I believe them when they’ve already lied? We’ll see what happens.
