I signed up for it. But doesn’t mean I will pre-order it. I don’t like pre-ordering stuff, I rather test the device first before I decide to purchase. I hope Streak will be release through AT&T by next week. But I’m kind of losing interest in Streak already. Now I am thinking about purchasing the Samsung Captive.

What? Pre-loaded with 1.6 only? This sucks.

upgradeable to Froyo. Remember, the Streak was in production LONG ago. They’re probably only selling it now to try to unload it while their “sweet spot” is still open. The next wave of superphones (1.5 ghz processors) will leave this one behind.

I personally don’t care too much about any processors higher than 1 Ghz. I think 1 Ghz should be good enough for a smartphone. I think any higher cpu speed will drain more battery. If that’s the case, than manufactures will need to add higher capacity battery thus making the phone heavier to carry.

Gosh why would you care what version of anything its running with the beauty of a desperate fallen hardware manufacturer combined with the most rapacious carrier in the country? Gee do I really get a Bluetooth headset? Back to the drawing board promotional team.
I’m not much a Dell fan as is, but was a little curious about the streak. 1.6 makes me not care about it tho. Why would I want to go from my 2.1 and 2.2 devices down to 1.6?
I thought that after all this time they would’ve updated it to atleast 2.1 by now.I’ll pass

Dell give us the Release Date and the pricing already!!! Don’t understand why not just announce it? All these long wait is making me lose interest in this device.
Yeah i’m a bit confused by Dell’s strategy here too, they should have released the streak a while ago. I’m wondering why the europeans got first crack at it.

Impeccable and a unique design. Feature wise, it is very good. The phone would surely look very different in anybody’s hand.
