Samsung’s Latest Accessory Will Allow HDMI Out on Galaxy S

With top devices being released with HDMI out ports like the HTC Evo 4G and the Motorola Droid X, some were a bit confused as to why Samsung did not add the feature into the design of their latest device, the Samsung Galaxy S. We know that the Galaxy S offers video out via its 3.5 mm jack, but that does not give us the HD quality that we so eagerly need.

Samsung has been working on an accessory that will allow users to view media in High-Definition via an HDMI to MicroUSB cable. The cable is priced at just $50 and is currently unavailable, but we should be expecting it soon. Those of you interested in this accessory can check the Samsung product site for more information.
*Note* The HDMI to MicroUSB cable will be compatible with the U.S. variants such as T-Mobile’s Samsung Vibrant and AT&T’s Samsung Captivate.

Yes ! it’s not HD but for viewing pictures and showing off my Vibrant ..I must say it’s HOT !..I remember having a Maxell 3.5-mm-to-RCA A/V Splitter with 3.5-mm Cable. I use on my Zune player, I paid 3.99 plus tax and WOW it works. Now does this HDMI to MicroUSB cable really work ? I will have look into this more.

But how am supposed to keep my phone charged while playing a movie?

If you look closer, you can see a Micro USB connector for charging on the side of the HDMI connector. So that shouldn’t be a problem.

“Just $50″? That’s pretty expensive for a cable. That’s Apple prices.
