Verizon’s latest promo for the Motorola Droid X shows off its 3G Hotspot feature and should start running on TV tonight. With this device selling fast, Verizon is continuing to push the Motorola Droid X as much as they can. This feature is not free and comes on the device as an add-on. To most of us, this feature is not anything new as we have been using this feature on our G1 for a long time now and is built-in to our Nexus One update. Droid X users can enjoy free tethering once they root their device, until then be prepared to have your wallet ready.

I’m an EVO owner, but I absolutely love the Droid voice. The commentator sounds very close to Peter Cullen. Is that a laid back Optimums lol.

I got an n1 that I absolutly love, but got to play with an X, and i must say its a great phone, and a perfect size. Not a big fan of verizon but i gotta say what they’ve done for android as far as advertising goes is amazing. most people think all android phones are droids. And once again to verizons credit, another great commercial!

Was able to have an evaluation DroidX for 3 weeks in early July. I took it on a family RV trip. I had it plugged into my RV’s DC power and had the Mobile HotSpot app running so my 14 year old son could tether his laptop while traveling across Nebraska at 70mph. I’m not a Verizon customer but I have to say Verizon 3G coverage rocks.

I must say it’s a great phone, with a perfect size,grabbing all dashing features….
Phones being launched with mobile hotspot capabilities are all the rage these days and Motorola and Verizon aren’t oblivious to that trend. They put the feature into the Motorola Droid X and is rumored to be coming to the HTC Droid Incredible..
The promo of Motorola Droid X was hilarious and its look is also too good. Thanks for sharing this fantastic information about this phone.
This article is just great! It amazes me that erroneous information still is being reported even after official statements are made. It does NOT have Froyo on board out of the box..Thanks for this information.
The promo is very nice,I am very sure that there is going to be good sell for droid after this promo.

Well the Moto would be absolute idiots not to include an SD card slot, especially on a phone of which they’re touting it’s multimedia features! Thanks
