Official Update for the Motorola Droid Found

Have you been itchin’ for the latest dose of Android? Droid-Life has reported via Twitter that the update for the Motorola Droid is now available. You can download the file from one of the links below.

To manually update your Motorola Droid:

1.) Grab the file from above and rename it “update.zip” and place it on the root of your sd card.

2.) Turn your phone off.

3.)Boot into recovery (Power + X)

4.) Wait for a triangle with exclamation point to appear.

5.) Hit the volume up and camera button (half-way down) at the same time.

6.) Using the D-Pad select “apply update.zip” and press in the gold button on the D-Pad.

7.) Reboot.

8.) Enjoy your new treat!
