Archos Introduces Generation 8

With a new line of tablets, Archos is bringing us Generation 8 (Gen 8). Archos has six different sizes of the Gen 8 tablet coming, with the smallest display at 3-inches and the largest at 10-inches. The 3.2″ variant is currently available for pre-order over at JR.com for the price of $149. Of course, the image is “not yet available” and that the device is “coming soon,” judging by the specs of this device from their last tablet, Archos has stepped their game up.

Features of Archos Gen 8 tablets include:

Android 2.1 Eclair
802.11n WiFi
400×240 (TFT LCD) – 3.2″ variant
ARM Cortex A8 processor (clocked at 800MHz)
3.5mm audio jack
Bluetooth
Built-in camera & microphone
Accelerometer
Multiple audio & video formats
Surf web & download Apps
