Google just added another treat to its list of tasty treats for its Android operating system. According to Techradar, the new OS version next on the menu following Gingerbread will be called “Honeycomb.”

Honeycomb, if sources are legit, could be an incremental upgrade from Android 3.0 (Gingerbread), in the same manner as Android 2.2 (Froyo) was to Android 2.1 (Éclair). That means Android Honeycomb will probably be Android 3.1 or Android 3.2. Details of what this upgrade will bring are still unknown.

Gingerbread, dubbed as a tablet-friendly version, is due out by early 2011 if not sooner. Gingerbread’s features are confirmed to include WebM video playback support and improved copy–paste functionalities.
