
Samsung has made the Samsung Galaxy U official and is the closest release to the Galaxy S you can get. Samsung has called this device the Galaxy U for its “Unique” grip, “Ultimate” display, “Utilitarian” apps and “Ubiquitous” features. The Galaxy U will be available for 800,000 Korean won ($682) and just as the image shows, this device will come in black or white.

Features of the Samsung Galaxy U include:

- 1GHz CPU
- T-DMB
- Wi-Fi 802.11n
- Bluetooth 3.0
- Internet tethering
- Allshare
- 5MP camera with 720p HD video recording
- OZ Store and Google Market support
- GPS
- microSD card (up to 32GB; 8GB bundled)

That looks really familiar…
it doesn’t bring anything new to the table so no reason to migrate away from the Galaxy S
On the other hand it shows samsung is committed to these devices and makes future updates more likely which will put me on ease knowing they won’t hang me out to dry.
