Samsung’s Galaxy S device offers a beautiful Super AMOLED display and the good thing is, Samsung has already made protecting it one of their top priorities. By using Corning’s Gorilla Glass, the Super AMOLED display can take all kinds bumps and bruises and the display goes unscathed. We’re not saying you should be totally careless with your Galaxy S device, but it takes a lot more to damage the display than you might think. You might remember the scratch and dent treatment this device has had before, knowing that Gorilla Glass is on the device, you can ease up a little bit.

Samsung: “No plans for Ice Cream Sandwich at all for the Galaxy S line.”

Well, that is about all there is to say about that. Seems as though the reports that came in shortly after Samsung had announced the ICS update device line up, pegs the Galaxy S as dead in the water after all. We heard a rumor ...

I did drop mine the screen is fine but the outside silver part along the outside chips easy

Yeah it fell about 3 feet and now the screen is cracked. The insurance company denied my claim. But Samsung will fix it for 75 dollars. Cheaper than the insurance company would have charge me.

I ran over mine in my car, yeah i know, how do i contact sumsung to get it repaired. cant find a number anywhere

Gorilla glass isnt to prevent the screen from cracking if your drop it, its to protect it from scratches. Hopefully one day we will have invincible phones without the need for any sort of case!

  4. I disagree with this, My galaxy’s screen cracked while it was sitting on the desk, the plastic outer layer might be tough but that doesn’t matter when its LCD screen is weaker than a tissue trying to hold up an elephant.
