Orange Pushes Back Froyo for HTC Desire

1

For all of you on Orange that are waiting for Android 2.2 to hit your HTC Desire, you’re going to have to wait. Orange announced via Twitter that the Froyo update is being pushed back until mid-September.

Almost immediately following this statement, they stated:

..“would like to point out the delay on 2.2 Froyo is not related to Orange services on the device”

That sounds like to me like the folks over at HTC are the guilty ones and Orange likes to drop dimes instead of software updates. It doesn’t matter who is at fault, what matters is that come mid-September, you should be enjoying Android 2.2.
