This Verizon-bound HTC Slider isn’t due to be released until sometime next year; lucky for us the detail leaks are starting early. The images above come from the standard FCC testing.
Still going under the development name PD42100, FCC testing reveals the device is capable of CDMA 2000 and GSM 850 plus EV-DO Rev. A, Bluetooth and 802.11b/g/n WiFi at 2.4GHz frequencies. No word yet on the the rumored 1.2GHz processor or 4-inch display, but given the handy dimension reference, it’s a given the display is going to be big.
Overall, it looks like it’s going to be a very nice slider. I wonder if this points to a trend of moving back towards more physical keyboards. What do you guys think?

Could be sooner than next year. The usual lead time at the FCC may indicate a Thanksgiving (or December) release. My guess is that VzW will be releasing the first LTE phones in the spring, which would eviscerate sales of this device, unless it’s priced very attractively (which is not VzW’s usual M.O.).
That phone looks just like the G2 with out the track sensor and if it works on GSM 3G and maybe 4G? it would be a bad look for the T-mobile G2. Only if all the spec out do the G2 which looks like it might do with its 4in screen and possibly 1.2GHz Scorpion processor? I would buy this from Verizon and use it on T-mobile network. But i hope this is not true i want the G2 to be on top for a while
