As consumers gear up for a complete Android tablet takeover, it looks like Dell is trying to squeeze in their 7-inch Looking Glass and they even plan on launching a 10-inch tablet by the end of 2010. The 7-inch tablet, according to Dell’s Amit Midha, is to come in the next couple of weeks followed by smaller 3″ and 4″ little critters.
Rumored features of the Dell Looking Glass include:
- Android 2.1
- NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor with an optional TV tuner module
- 7″ display offering a resolution of 800×480
- 4GB RAM
- 4GB internal storage
- Micro SD port expandable up to 32GB
- 1.3 megapixel camera
Hopefully Dell can redeem themselves after launching a tablet running Android 1.6. Anyone setting their sights on the 7-inch tablet?

Is the TV tuner analog or digital?
No idea, these specs are from April. Hopefully we’ll know more very soon
only if it supports calling, they swap out the 800×480 screen with 1024×768 or better, front facing camera, keep the price reasonable / carrier subsidized. And there is no way this has 4 GB of ram, I’d be surprised if it had 256 MB (hopefully 1 GB). Keep the tegra 250. Android 3.0 to start. Basically what the galaxy tab should have been. I really want a 7″ replacement for my phone, that would be ideal with front facing camera and a bluetooth headset, heck, throw in a 7″ pixel-qi screen, no proprietary connectors (mini-usb & mini-hdmi only).
Dell,I am waiting for that day.am exiting to buy it,launch earliest…..
The day it will be launched in markets would be the day for me to buy it…

No matter if iOS or Android right now these OS are not really tablet ready in my opinion. iOS is a dummy OS anyway but I’m curious what they will do with Gingerbread. I

I really like its design. Its looking like working on glass. It looks to be just a beefed up Dell Streak with the the Tegra 2 processor and larger display. Thanks.
