Sprint To Push An OTA Update To Address The Epic 4G’s Upload Issue

3

The Samsung Epic 4G is Sprint’s second 4G device and with Sprint’s WiMAX network the device is theoretically capable of reaching downloading speeds of 5Mbps and unfortunately upload speeds seem to be capped about the 150kbps range. An admin in the Sprint forums has reported that a fix will be pushed to devices over the air and will start as early as tomorrow and will continue to roll out through the weekend.

Hopefully the OTA update will take care of some of those other issues that still are given users some problems, but we’ll have to wait and see the changelog before we know for sure. What problems are you having with your Epic 4G?

Voice search, or voice text, or anything that uses the voice control features of the phone, does not ever work at all. Never detects speach and when it does it only lasts for a couple words..
