The T-Mobile G2 may still be locked up fighting off permanent root, but that doesn’t keep Michael Huang, the overclocking guru behind SetCPU, from overclocking his device to 1.344 GHz (Um… yeah, that’s crazy fast). Thanks to the newly released kernel source, Android modders are now being able to dig in to the code and start pushing devices to the max. He had to apply 100mv on the processor to get these speeds, but still.

The G2 already has so many problems. It reboots by itself 3 times a day, why would you take an unstable phone and make it more unstable? The terrible reception, the reboots, tmobile waitlisting people who are trying to return their phone, there are much bigger problems to solve than the slow CPU
4 users on my plan all preordered G2′s, not one has had a problem or returned any of ours..
I’ve had the G2 since before launch, and I have never had a random reboot, or any signal issues. In fact, I have not had a single issue with this phone! Ohh and it is really fast right out of the box.
me too, I’m so sick of people talking so bad about such a nice phone. This phone has never done any random resets on me or lost signal. The speed is incredible too, downloading and installing large applications from the store is incredibly fast. I get faster internet on my phone than on my house internet!
Maybe so, but that doesn’t mean the developer can’t have a little fun. If he isn’t experiencing those issues then it’s not really his problem. Even if he is having issues, it’s not our problem. Meanwhile, I find it interesting to explore the boundaries of new devices & processors.
Mine has never rebooted by itself and doesn’t have any signal issues, sounds like you got a dud…
my #G2 has never rebooted on its own, ass. stop basing your bias input on opinions of idiots who base it solely on a few bad eggs. I agree t mo n htc fucked up on the stock release of this device. and I still dont like that loose keyboard OR the z hinge. BUT, I FUCKING LOVE MY #G2 #TeamAndroid
Sounds to me like you have personal issues with your phone. Ive owned 5 Android phones, and this one blows all of them out of the water.

My G2 phone reboots several times as well. I’m on the second one and it’s still doing the same thing. It’s freezes sometimes and it erased my call log on one occasion.
