I once served in the USMC from 02'-08' I purchased the G1 in 2008 and then watched the Android OS turn the mobile world upside down. I then got the Nexus One followed by the Samsung Vibrant. I also have the HD2 running Shubcraft CM6. I've been following the Android community for a while now and couldn't be happier doing anything else. "Go Green, get -C}[\][D[R[-][][D-"

Looking good! Wish we could get a final release date.

  • Weemoney

Ugh, I would partially retire my N1 to get this device. My wife has to a couple upgrades at work, hoping to see a release before she leaves, otherwise gonna have to get a couple of G2s

  • moe

I hope it doesn’t have that BS HTC root restriction chip like the g2

  • Blah

Yea yea…when? When? WHEN? Give us the date already!

  • Mike Gutt

torn between this and the G2. FFC is the only thing that is keeping me waiting.

  • geoffott

This is the phone I’ve been waiting for… hope I will be able to afford it and to upgrade from the MyTouch 3G original! :)

  • Jerzeeloon

I want this phone but just got the vibrant, probably cant afford no contract price:(

Don’t feel too bad, at least you will be able to root your phone incredibly easily.

Nice phone I am loving the new line-up that T-mobile is showing us that our loyalty is paying off, now I got the G2 the other day I might have to grab this to I agree with moe I hope that this root restriction is not the new norm for all the newer phones but it’s only a matter of time before xda gets past it.

i love this phone! I personally think that the MyTouch line is one of the best- Fun to use- Cool/Good look, Never have any “Slow” behavior on the phone, Most apps are compatiable, and many more reasons!!! Ive owned every mytouch phone that has been released so far- White Mytouch 3G, Red Mytouch 3G Slide, and either Plum or Black to hopefully be mine in the Mytouch (Gotta look at it in person- If its too girly!! LOL, But probally Black- Rare i will get white or red, and 35% i get Plum) OH BOY im so excited!

If you believe the leaked roadmap it should be released on Nov 5th. So far it’s been pretty right on, although a Friday release is not really normal.

  • stillwaitingfor2.2on3g

Ive heard november 11th for a release date.

looks cheap and plasticky like every other my touch. g2 over this. stock android is the way to go

    • Anonymous

No myTouch phone has ever been cheaply made. I can’t argue with stock android, but considering the mess that is the G2, I am really looking forward to getting my pre-release device next week. Every once in a while, its nice to be a T-Mo employee

Agreed. My original MyTouch hardware has been rock solid, as has every other HTC device I’ve owned. For cheap and plasticky, take a look at a Galaxy after a couple of months of use……
