The often rumored Playstation phone just became a little more clear thanks to some pictures courtesy of Engadget; and because we’re talking about it you know what that means. Engadget claims the phone will be most likely be running Android 3.0 but also mentions Gingerbread which we’ve been hearing is actually Android 2.3. Chalk this one up as a rumor for right now but the photos they have of the device can’t be ignored and we all know sometimes phones don’t make the cut. The specs being tossed around are 3.7 – 4.1 inch screen, a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655, 512MB of RAM, & 1GB of ROM. It’s also stated that the device will eventually feature a Sony branded market place where users will be able to purchase and download games made specifically for this device. We’ll keep an eye on this one and let you know of any updates that come our way, but in the meantime head over to Engadget’s photo gallery for some more shots. What do you think of this new twist on an old rumor? Sound off in the comments below.

It could be photoshopped but who knows. Although if there is a PSP phone coming out it would make a good gaming phone for those who want to play ROMs but lack the physical controls to do so.
It’s shopped. I can tell from the pixels.

I think its awesome even though its only an idea of how one would look like..
Time to step your game up Sony!
I was thinking that this device targets the casual gamers. the fact that sony psp 2 might be released next fall would be something that would affect sony’s sale unless you target different audience which is of course the casual gamers type. the question now is how did sony manage to make a gaming platform from android? this would mean new hope to the developers out there cause android is still new and it’s still blooming
That poor battery
