Galaxy S Takes the Lead in Japan

Android and iPhone have been going at it ever since I can remember. We all want to see the gap between the 2 OS’s get closer.. Over the last few months we have been slowly gaining on iOS here in the states but it would seem that overseas in Japan, we just knocked the iPhone out of its lead. The iPhone sat at the number 1 most-purchased-device spot, staying there for 18 weeks straight.  Now, a report from a Japanese market research firm, BCN, puts the estimates of sales of the Galaxy S device above the iPhone. This is of course if we consider the 32gig and 16gig iPhones as individual phone models.

Still though it is nice to see some tides turning in the world. I wouldn’t mind if it was a Motorola that climbed up the mountain to say “Hi!” just as long as Android is getting into more hands worldwide.

Time for an update. I am the proud father of three, 2, 8, and 11. I finally just moved up from the Samsung Vibrant to the Samsung Galaxy S III...... Let me tell you, it is mind blowing. I love Android, I love tech and I love my family. Not in that order though. I work to hard, play even harder and take care of all that are around me when I can.

How long until Japanese users are fed up waiting for their 2.2 update?

LOL. I am about to sell my Vibrant.

I’d never buy another Samsung product, period. The Galaxy S has too many issues to list, no updates and bad battery life. It looks good on paper, but it sucks in real life.
