Notion Ink Adam Could Launch in Time for Christmas

Long before Galaxy Tab and ViewPad talk was circulating around the Android community, there was the Notion Ink Adam and while this has been the subject of many delays it finally looks like this device will be going public just in time for Christmas.

According to Notion Ink’s blog, new developments suggest this device will be coming sooner than the rumored Q1 2011 launch. This 10.1″ device with a NVIDIA Tegra 2 chipset under the hood will surely grab your attention. The latest update from their official blog is below:

FCC: We are on time for this and you could hold devices in your hands on or before Christmas (and as hinted earlier, if we miss Christmas, then CES or New Year). Pre-booking will start in early December (if the case id prior). Already received FCC for the chargers!

Judging by the rumored pricing for this tablet that we last reported in August give us the following and are subject to change:

  • LCD Wi-Fi only version – $399
  • LCD 3G version  - $449
  • Pixel Qi model Wi-Fi only version -$449
  • Pixel Qi model 3G version – $498

Anyone else excited for high-end Android tablets to rain from the heavens?

So this is the device to finally kill the Ipad? I wonder if this will cut into apples Christmas sales considering they are supposedly #1, #2, and #3 most wanted christmas gifts (Ipad, Ipod, and Iphone).
