With Android we sure don’t have a shortage of keyboard alternatives. There is Swype, HTC _IME, Samsung Keyboard, Better Keyboard and so many more. Although each keyboard offers its own unique twist on a must have classic, all of them are still standardized keyboards.
Thumb Keyboard by Beansoft drastically changes the layout. With most devices the screen takes up the whole front of your phone. With the current keyboards out it can be some what cumbersome to type on them. I know when I use my Vibrant it is usually easier to type one handed in portrait mode than two handed. Thumb Keyboard changed the lay out of the keys to make two handed typing a lot easier.
This new design is tricky to get used to. I am slowly getting used to it. Like with all new things though it will take some time. I used to hate those ergonomic PC keyboards, now I can’t type on anything else. A very nice added feature that is included with this keyboard is native arrow keys, which is a big plus for those of us with phones like the Vibrant that have no track pad or trackball.

VKB apps really need a demo version. Granted $1.03 isn’t a bad price; but I still have a hard time shelling out for something based on someone else’s opinion. And the refund time limit isn’t really long enough to develop a real feeling for it. It actually took me a couple weeks to get used to Swype and decide that I actually liked it.
Does this rotate to landscape or is it just protrait?
ya know I didn’t even think to check, I havnt text in landscape ever. LOL. the keys get a little small for it to be a landscape keyboard. Ill upload a photo for you in a minute.
