
Directly from the pink hatted Android genius, the T-Mobile myTouch 4G has now met the custom recovery ClockworkMod and the talented members of the Android community have been in full force since it was first established that the T-Mobile G2 gained permanent root access.
As you can see in @kmobs tweet above, he is running a nandroid NANDROID backup just in case and states that a release is soon. While we never underestimate the dedication and determination, we can soon cross off another step to having a custom ROM thrown on this bloatware infested device.
Be sure and follow @ClockworkMod, @kmobs or @AndroidSPIN if want to stay well-informed on the progress of this phase in pursuit of custom ROMs on the myTouch 4G or G2. And be sure and tip your devs folks as they do not get paid for their contribution or dedication to the Android community as some of these guys have kids, wives, in college, etc…

These guys never cease to amaze me. I wasn’t about to even look at any of the new phones till we had root. Good work guys. Now to see how amazing the ROMs are.
