If you head over to Verizon’s offers page, you’ll see first hand that if you hover over the Motorola Droid 2, Verizon is showing a 1.2GHz processor ad. While many of us would easily call out Verizon for their mistake, is an update coming to the Motorola Droid 2 overclocking this TI OMAP processor to 1.2 GHz?
We know that the Motorola Droid 2 Global features the same processor and is coming with the 1.2 GHz overclock out of the box, so it would make sense if Verizon is looking to make these devices as equal as possible. They should probably go ahead an update the Motorola Droid X as well since it features the same processor and how about tossing a few bug fixes for the device since Froyo brought many that have yet to be resolved.
Do you think Motorola and Verizon should go ahead and overclock the Droid 2 and Droid X to 1.2GHz?

No they should keep them@ 1ghz so I can feel special with my D2G
Well idk much about this but if they are going to overclock the processor and make it a “world edition” phone, then why don’t they just send out an ota update that would overclock the processor(idk if that’s possible) … Because people who bought the original droid 2/x are going to feel bad
