Finally, after all this time rumoring, expecting, and waiting, the Android 2.3, Gingerbread, SDK(Software Development Kit) has been released!

Here are the major points we’ve learned about so far:

  • UI Enhancements
  • Better keyboard
  • New Concurrent Garbage Collector in the Dalvik VM
  • New, easier to access Task Manager
  • Support for NFC(Near-field Communications)
  • Better download management
  • SIP Support
  • and much, much more

    if the NS has a 1Ghz Hummingbird, and the Galaxy S (Vibrant) has the same processor, and same RAM wouldn’t that make the GS very capable of running 2.3? I just have a feeling Samsung will tell us “it’s not upgradable”…
